This is a reduced model down to 28" from the 34" Crash Tender.
I then built it out of balsa wood and covere the bottom balsa skin with 1/16th ply.
I will get around to finishing it one day. Only part painted up to now.
The propellor on it in the picture is not the one that it will be run on it will have
a 25mm 3 bladed brass one on it. But I do also have a 20mm as a back up incase thats too big.

    Hi Ronals,
I have just seen your question regarding, " How much of this is plastic".

    The answer is only
the water pumps, the cowl vents, the rear towing hook and the mast, which is home made from
    plastic strip.

The boat is 90% balsa apart from a second bottom hull skin of 1/16 ply.
Also the cabin roof's are also 1/16th ply. a small piece of 1/4 " flat wood for motor mount.
Every thing else is just basla wood.
This was just to be a safety thing as I am a clumsy person when it comes to boating on the pond.
I did want a bit of protection just in case.

I had shrunk the parts of the 34.5" parts on a Epson A3 scanner and then built it out of bals when I was stuct indoors under house arrst after having my right shoulder Rota Cuff repair way back about 18 0r 19 +years ago. When I was off works when I couldn't drive.

I go to the hospital tomorrow for a pre opp assement for my right shoulder joint replacement.
So that could be done some time soon, the pre opp only last 3 months.
I might get to paint the decks when I have nothing else to do.
I have just got to the point where I can drive next week after my right hand carpul tunnel opp.
My wife is is one for making sure I don't do anything I shouldn't.
I am not sure that the opp done what is was meant to as I still have somepins and needles in my fingers. But it's still early days yet.

I am looking forward to getting my new shoulder joint.
then it's the left shoulder rota cuff and the left hand carpul tunnel.

I might then start to hase my doctor about my dodgy knees.

Your model looks very convincing Boatshed and you have captured the authentic look of its original.

I am guessing that you had to make your own smaller scale fittings to use on this smaller scale craft?

Nice work, I look forward to seeing it when it is finished.

    Bob.
