    We had a fleet at the time.
    This was a scale model combat fleet, so the patches that you see in
    one photo were laquered in place after attempting a landing on one of the islands.
    We were hoping to push all the target tanks off the edge and claim tonnage points.😁
    But the range of the rc tanks was too limited.

    Hi Umi,
    I like the photo of it sailing through the mist.
    It is nice to see something a little different.

    Very interesting to see the Japanese concept of an LST. I have an interest in the British/US version and one of these days intend building one. My father skippered one throughout the North Africa and Italian landings in WW2. I even went on board her when she came back to the UK for refit in the drydock of the town where we lived.
