My son found the framed hull at a garage sale with the radio. Nothing else, no plans, no parts, no kit box! I found the Midwest construction manual on line but no plans. Made the cabin sides by enlarging the image in the manual. Everything else is by guess and by golly.

Nice one George - looking good . Congrats on on your hard work - it really paid off. Something to be rightly proud of.

A word for next time perhaps and for the newbies - this is a great forum to ask for help or advice on . A lot of the members have plans etc which they can help out with- or know where to source them - some have great advice to offer re motors, running gear and all that type of thing. Its all done to encourage others in our great hobby.

Looking forward to seeing her on the water

George, you have made a fantastic job of the Lobster Boat, wonderful colour selection, please share any other projects that you might have done in the past. This is a fantastic forum with a nice bunch of chaps and buckets full of knowledge and help, now that l cannot go to the pub or out to eat and stay home! itโ€™s a perfect chance to resume a boat that l started a long time.
    Stay safe, Richard.

Who picked the colour scheme George? I think it really suits the boat, will follow the colour on my next build, should imagine it will look good on my next boat...a destroyer!๐Ÿค”

Couldn't be worse than Tony Curtis' pink submarine Pete ๐Ÿ˜ฎ USS Queenfish, SS-393.
Put a few splodges of blue and white on and it could pass for Western Approaches camouflage!
    Cheers, Doug ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Long time projects only count if they are decades in process. I have but 2 - 3 in that category.

George, that looks really good, like the paint scheme. You did a real nice job of bringing her back.
