One of the latest projects I have bought, a 26" Pilot boat.
Initially i thought maybe a Lesro model, but the Lesro Pilot boat is bigger, at just over 33" in length.
Another addition to the fleet Will - and another one that needs some TLC too!
Your boatyard and mine will look very similar to each other as they are both filled with sad unloved models that need the kiss of life to get them looking smart and back on the water again.🤣
Your model does look a bit like the Lesro Pilot boat, and I hope somebody on here can identify it for you - but it could also be a "free-lance" design perhaps that did not start its life in a kit box?
Hi Bob, yep, yet another sad looking model added to the fleet.
The Lesro Pilot boat is 33 3/4"in length, so I have ruled out Lesro now.
As you say, it could well be something other than a kit build, possibly a plan that someone has drawn up themselves or another that has been scaled down because they don't want a boat more that 30" long maybe.
It is now in my Inbox and awaiting it's turn for some attention and TLC.
p.s,
It was more curiosity than anything else, but someone may recognise it and be able to shine some light on what make it is, but it doesn't really matter either way.
It is a bit of an oddity, looks like a Lesro hull but the cabin is rather different to anything I've seen before.
Curiously the ply skin from the transom is missing, the bits you see are the internal formers for it but the skin is missing and it's all painted as though it's meant to be that way.
Very odd 🤔
Rob.
I did think that was the case too. it definitely needs the transom skin fitting, just to finish the hull shape off.
As you say, the hull does look very much like a Lesro item, hence my initial thoughts. It's 9" too short though.
Like I said to Zooma, it doesn't really matter whether it's a kit or scratch build, I will fix it up either way. It was just my curiosity that made me wonder.

Stay safe!

It is whatever it is I guess.
A Pilot boat is one that I quite fancied, so this fits the bill quite nicely.
