Thank you Alessandro Yes, I enjoy sailing here. The wooden bridge leads into the city center, so there are lots of people out and about. Often parents with their children, and of course their eyes light up. Sometimes the children come onto the jetty and want to take a closer look at how I steer the boat, so I like to let the children steer the boat. I love the look of joy on their faces. That's what I really enjoy.

Wolle there are not many Modelboat builders who’s wife’s are so crazy that they join their husbands to the lake when they go sailing. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Hello Doug Maybe you'll come to Stade again sometime, then get in touch. @hermank The "Schwinge" is a small river that flows through the middle of Stade. I don't even know if you're allowed to go there, but the tourists go there in rowing boats, so I go there too and spray the passengers with my Zwarte Zee and the fire monitors. I usually go alone, which is a shame. Because I'm not in a model building club. But it can also be quite relaxing.👍

Wolle Schönen Nachmittag, a good afternoon
We have a pond which is especially built for us Modelboat fanatics but I must admit yours is romantic, idyllic and the scenery is muuuuuuuuuch more beautifull. I hope you can concentrate on your boat when you are navigating and not over looking the landscape!

Moin Wolle😉
Yes, I have indeed been to Stade a few times.
First time was many years ago on a School Exchange holiday.
I lived on the old Ringleben apple farm, just outside town back then, for a month.
They also produced an excellent Apfelsaft😋
Learned to drive a horse and wagon while I was there. Great fun.
Vividly remember belting round the cobbled streets in the Altstadt with Ushi (Ursula) in her basic 'Käfer' (Beetle), thought I was going to lose my teeth. She was a lovely girl😍 and a bit crazy.
Also lost my fear of heights while I was there, at the top of the tower at the Nuclear Power Station (KKW) on the Elbe. Great views across the Elbe from up there.
Nearly fell in the Schwinge one night, on the way home from the Bierstube!😁
Good Astra Bier😋 Happy days.

Much more recently, I was staying with some friends in a village east of Bremen and we made a day-trip (Tagesausflug) to Stade, for Old Times Sake. Much had changed. Tempus fugit🙄
Alles Gute, Doug😎
Young at heart 😉 Slightly older in other places.😊 Cheers Doug

Hello, here are two more pictures. Unfortunately you can't see much but the next time I go out on my boat I'll take more pictures.
