Just about finished cutting out all the bits so thinking ahead.
Where the 1/8" 1/4" Spruce Gunwale and Stringers come around the bow, it's quite a sharp turn so will need to "bend" the wood to prevent snapping it.
What's the easiest way to do this, soaking and heating? I don't have a steam facility.

Some of the pieces are 30"+ long and to accurately transfer them using carbon paper there's lots of room for error me thinks.
Bought some wallpaper paste so will photocopy and glue onto the ply.

Apart from price, what's the difference between Lite Ply and say Beech ply. Can I use the Lite Ply for the bulkheads etc? Save a heap of money!!

So once you've got the plan on the plywood, should you cut nearly up to the lines and then sand the edges, leaving the line intact or should you cut on the line?
I guess as long as you do the same on every cut it doesn't really matter?

Many thanks guys. I think photo copy is the best way to go although years ago when I did this on a biplane I ended up with two different length wings!!!
I think todays printers/copiers are better now so I'll do one and measure compared to the original plan!!

Very simple question, what's the best way to transfer the plan detail onto the plywood to cut out?
To-date I have cut out the relative item from the plan and pasted it onto the plywood and cut round it which of course destroys the plan!!
Carbon paper?????

Sea trials, well canal actually. Sure can go FAST! Drove the dog mad but not bad for a first outing.
I'm going to put a breakwater on the bow area as I got splashes going into the hatch. Must also make the hatch more secure as it came up a bit probably during a miss judged high speed turn!!
Think some small magnets in deck and hatch?

Thanks folks for all the suggestions. I think small, bulk buy as flaxbybuck suggests! I'm sick of breaking small drills trying to unblock the nozzle. Even contacted the manufacturer but no luck with replacement nozzles!!

Has anybody come up with a reliable method of stopping the plastic cap from gluing itself to the glue bottle?
Bought two largish bottles and both useless after a few usages due to getting blocked after caps stuck solid to them!!

Almost ready to start applying the plywood sides so wondering which is the best way to go, especially at the bow where a compound bend is required to fit the frame profile.
Can one soak the plywood to make it more flexible? I'm only using 0.8mm plywood.

Now starting to build and already need help.
The keel. It says to chamfer the edges - should I do this before I install the keel or after?
One the plan view, where exactly are the deck edges, there are several lines and don't want to waste wood cutting it to the wrong shape.

Thanks royce, good point! I can't quite work out where the individual sides are on the plan, nor the deck? It's not very clear at all.
I will probably make a lot of the non loaded bits out of balsa to get the weight down!
