Hi,I'm just about to take the shaft out, both shafts get a drop of oil before sailing, one runs hot, the other is fine, something is amiss!. I will check for polishing /scoring/and if it is bent. Thanks for the pointers. John.

Thanks for the advice, I'll take the shaft out and see. I'm sure I saw somewhere, a rigid coupling for this job, but cant find anything at the moment.....The props are nylon, so no problems there....the top of the tube gets quite warm after a run even with oil...! Thanks again, John.

HI all, as a newcomer to the hobby, Is there such a thing as a rigid coupling to temporarily go between motor and prop shaft so that the shaft can be set In line? I have bad vibration on one propshaft In a 34" fireboat which I would like to replace/re set. The other shaft Is fine!

Bought off ebay, where else! Had been started as a cruiser, with one very small electric motor, then put in a loft for goodness knows how many years.Replaced prop shaft with 2, 40mm r/h and l/h props, 2x 540 motors running through 40a esc.Radio is 27mhz. 2ch. would like to swap to 2ghz to get rid of the unsightly aerial! I am awaiting some plasticard windows to Improve the looks and will slowly add fittings as and when.I tend to sail it every now and again on the boating lake in BUXTON, no-one has shouted as yet, though I'm not sure the swans approve.!: The photo on the water was just as the power was running down, none as yet at speed. It is very manoeverable with the twin rudders, almost on the gunwhales at speed.

Hello, a newcomer here!, I have a rather old 34" Aerokits (I think)fire tender that I picked up off ebay. I noticed that someone on this site does plasticard windowframes and windows for this scale. Can anyone point me In the right direction? The boat now has a pair of 540 motors, twin screws and rudders, 30a esc 3700mah battery pack and 2ch radio. The battery pack does not last too long!!, but the performance Is quite respectable, jumps up onto the plane quite quickly.I am adding things bit by bit, dont expect a true scale model, but fun to sail..
