    Here she is almost complete.
    Still waiting for the ESC.
Once that arrives, I can ballast her out.
Also waiting for deck guns to arrive.
    Are they ever really finished?🙄

    Thanks, Rick,
    Will Post any updates.
I don't have access to a swimming pool, so the maiden voyage will be on a pond of sorts.

    Installed motors, shafts-shaft logs.
Dumas provided 2 left hand props. I ordered one left and one right three blade in brass.
Gotta show the sub a little respect!

    Good idea Trev,
The handed props should keep the sub on an even keel.

    Cheers,
    Stephen.

    Hi Trev,
Yeah that's right the sub raises due to it's buoyancy.

    Cheers,
    Stephen.

    Hi Stephen,
Thanks for the added information on the 2.4Ghz. i wasn't aware of the antenna length limitations.
Supposedly when the sub stops it rises to the surface due to built-in positive buoyancy.

    No problem Trev,

My interpretation of Dumas advertisement is the sub is water tight to 3 feet.

I should add that neither FM or 2.4 Ghz work in salt water, the more saline the worse.

If you can get the ariel above the water that should work the only snag I can see is the 2.4 Ghz aerials are quite short.
All this may not be much of a problem with a dynamic diving model although consideration should be given to what happens if the signal is lost, for example the hydro planes angling up to bring the sub back up or simply stopping the motor so the sub then returns to the surface which is probably the best.

I would add that you can probably run the sub in a fresh water lake as long as the motor cuts when the signal is lost.

Yes Engel make some really great equipment.

    Cheers,
    Stephen.

    Thanks Stephen,
Actually, I did not know that about 2.4 Ghz. Dumas says it is good to 3 feet under water.
    Thanks for the heads up.👍👍
They do recommend only running it in a swimming pool.
Maybe I should run the antenna up off the Sub conning tower, so it is always above the surface?

    Thanks Trev,
I was wondering if it was an Engel.

Just Googled your model and it is a dynamic diving setup from the factory which mean's it will dive when there is forward motion and raise again when stopped.

FM radios work best with subs in fresh water, 2.4 Ghz won't pernitrate the water, although I imagine you already know all of this.

    Cheers,
    Stephen.

    Hi Trev,
As Rick said lots of stuff on the go at once, bit much for me but I am glad you enjoy multi simultaneous builds.

One more question about your sub, what brand/manufacture is it?

    Cheers,
    Stephen.

    Thank you, Rick,
Actually, doing a little work on each seems more interesting, as long as i don't get confused and turn the Mt Washington into a Sub.🙄🙄🙄😭😭

I applied 1" fiberglass tape with polyester resin on the inside seam.
Stuff stinks, should have done it outside, but what's another couple of dead brain cells🙄🙄
    I do know better😆

    Hi Stephen,
It actually is fairly complete. the only extras you need are an ESC, Receiver, servos (2) and Battery.
Motors, shafts, shaft logs, props. rudders, diving fins and necessary hardware is included.
It would be cool to have firing torpedoes, but that is beyond me at this point.

    Hi Trev,
Yes that is always the worry that it won't come back up.
Did the kit come with all the equipment, or are you going to make it yourself?

    Cheers,
    Stephen.

Is this going to be a working model which can static dive?

While I am waiting for the epoxy to fully harden on the 44, I am embarking on the Bluefish build.
I bought this on ebay only because it was 1/4 of list price, and I did find it interesting.
Seems like a nice little kit.
Fitted the hull together, using CA, not Duco and tape as is called for. I used the CA so I can see and secure each area of the seam as I go along. The hull is very thin on the bottom., will require some filling and fairing,
