Whilst I've got plenty on with my Fairey builds and the unstarted outboard and water-jet projects I can't help but think about future builds. Another Fairey isn't in the thinking but there is a connection as the Christina 23 started off using the Huntress hulls supplied by Fairey before they starting building the 25 using hulls from another supplier - same basic design though. I like the 23 but thought I'd build the 25 as I've got three Huntresses and the stretched Huntsman 28 and it sits nicely between.
The build attracts as it is not complicated and I can modify the drawings I did for the Huntress. As part of my research I bought a book for more information.

Ooh, nice choice Chris. As you say, not a boat that you see built as a model (or the Dell Quay Ranger), and will fit in nicely with the rest of you fleet.
I bought the book a few months ago too, and it's a very interesting read.

I've got my drawings for the Huntress 23 and Huntsman 28 which are of the same family so I will refer to those to draw the plan and then the frames etc.

Will now be able to start drawing up the frames. I've decided on a motor being an Overlander 3536/06 1300kV.

That will make a nice interesting future build Chris.
I would like to get started on the bigger Swordsman 37 sometime soon as it will be my next “new build” and it will inspire me to finish my current Swordsman builds that are stopped at the moment as I cannot fashion the pulpits.
They will probably be test run without a pulpit fitted, and If my arm does not mend well enough to cut/shape/bend and silver-solder the pulpits, they will be run without them - permanently - unless anyone knows of any ready-built pulpits available to buy anywhere?
“Back in the 1960’s and 70’s it was possible to buy ready made brass pulpits (chromed or in plain brass. I didn’t need one then as I liked to make my own…….but now I would love to be able to buy a couple “ready to fit”.
Model boat building was much more popular then, so there was a ready market for anyone that fancied making some to sell to support their hobby.
MFA made a pulpit to fit their Spearfish model, and they could be made to fit an Aerokits Swordsman quite easily if I remember correctly?
My damaged right arm really does slow down a lot of jobs, but cutting out the keel, cabin sides and bulkheads etc on the bandsaw for a new model is not a problem for me so I could get everything cut and ready for assembly as soon as I have built-up enough strength in my right arm to be able to hold my hand tools (with some degree of control!).
Like yourself, I like to have a few projects “on the go” at the same time.
The “super-punt” will be ready for water testing very soon and I am really looking forward to seeing how the Sprite Plus works in choppy water with is square shaped bows….. no pulpit required……but it would look quite nice with one…………..

As much as I like the Faireys I wanted to do something with different shape coamings for a change!
