Glad you found the plan Doug - joint honours with the Kiwi and Martin perhaps - a gong might be appropriate for research.......
Shows how much help we get on this forum. Useful to ourselves as well - found I have a small scale plan of the 40' Tender when going through the file.............

Once I had the correct plan number from JB the rest was easy Red,
(Although some of the results from the other number were off topic but much more eye-catching๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜)
My mail crossed with Martin's, but I also found that starting from Sarik's Home page can be confusing and time consuming.
The have a weird and wonderful way of categorising their plans๐Ÿค”
Finding the photos was no great problem. Pinterest is very useful there.
I first went straight to the RAF Boats site where I found the three photos of the original, the specs and history. Pinterest turned up mostly models or "Related" ๐Ÿ™„ pics.
    Cheers, Doug ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Did you try the search box on Sarik (top left),? Doug, seems to work ok if you know what you are looking for, otherwise a lot of looking!

I'm looking for a plan for the subject launch 2642. I understand one may have existed from British Model Plan, Thames model 1258. This was a 1 off craft built for the RAF rescue service in the mid 40s by the Walton yacht company.

The only Walton boat seems to be a seaplane tender from an article by John Pritchard in the April 89 issue of Model Boats. Not sure if the plan is still available - MM1432 (3 sheets) There is a mention that No 338 (a picture is included) rescued 25 aircrew. The shots of the plan are very small in the article - not sure if they would be usable. Let me know via pm if you would like a copy of the article

Apologies - there is a mention of an unsuccessful Walton boat 2642 - and a small picture frontal side on - where the number is discernable - in a June 75 article by John Pritchard again. No further details are given other than the picture was a publicity shot by Waltons.

    Hi Teleg,
Attached at least a few usable views of the port side, and the boats specs.
    Cheers, Doug ๐Ÿ˜Ž
PS The Walton 38foot Seaplane Tender plan is still available from Traplet,
    http://www.traplet.com.au/walton-38ft-raf-seaplane-tender-mm...
but is completely different of course!

    PPS: Otherwise MM1432 returns this - ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜œ
    https://www.millamilla.shop/products/mm-1432-wide-leg-trouse...

    "65ft Walton High Speed Launch

Late in 1942, Walton Yacht Works completed the prototype 65ft High Speed Launch.
This particular design did not go into production and only the single craft HSL 2642 was taken on charge by the RAF.
The craft had a length 0f 65ft and a beam of 14ft 6in with a draught of 3ft at rest.
Two Napier Sea Lion engines were installed, giving a total output of 1,000 bhp,
which at full revolutions, propelled the craft at 30 knots.
The accommodation was laid out in the manner usual for high speed launches and
provision was made for six airmen in the forecastle, which was followed by the galley,
a wardroom for two officers, a wireless compartment, engine room, and sick bay for six stretcher cases."

It irritates me though that I couldn't find a plan โ˜น๏ธ
Thought I had a lead from another model site but it went nowhere๐Ÿค”
Did find out that Sarik Models also has the 300 series Walton Yacht Works 38' Seaplane Tender plan though, bit nearer than Ozland๐Ÿ˜‰

Talking of vessels belonging to the RAF, I remember seeing a corvette wearing the defaced ensign of the RAF in Portland harbour. That would have been about 1951. The RN had two training ships moored in Portland at that time, they were the aircraft carriers 'Implacable' and 'Indefatigable'.

    Re - but,
local Oz and Kiwi slang Doug (in place of though) we also have such terms as 'good as' short for good as gold etc. Aussies have beggers (beg yours) and others such as pluggers, - (another name for jandals/thongs of the foot variety, single or double pluggers,-number of strap plugs) We have our own lingo down here cobber.๐Ÿ˜Ž
See vid for an example of 'but.'๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜ good beer BTW (just type Speights Brewery NZ into Google Earth search)
