Blackpool Model Boat show
I was going to attend Blackpool but decided a long weekend in the lakes was a better option. With the feed back from club members I took the right option, it was not a brilliant show and lack of traders was one reason.

two of our members attended & bought fitting for those of us that could not make it they thoroughly enjoyed the weekend

While on the show subject. Been told Harrogate model engineering show will now be Doncaster's next year. At the race course. Harrogate show ground has upped its charges.

100% true Alan, the event organisers are charging ridiculous money for traders. I was chatting to a well known model boat manufacturer who hasn't attended the shows for some time now, they reckon they have to sell in excess of 17 full kits before they start to turn a profit. I will try the Warwick show next month, it was very good last year with plenty of traders and some excellent model club stands.

I agree with you Shaun, I was only there for 1 1/2 hours, bought what I could find, looked at the few models and left.
There will be one less trader next year as Modeltimbers will not be attending any more shows.
I know one trader who thinks that the charge for a table at shows has got beyond a joke, couple that charge with traveling expenses, and often having to stay overnight, plus what is stolen off the stall I'm not surprised there are getting less traders at these shows.

I was impressed with the hall so much better than Norbreck Castle, well done to the organisers.

Parking much better than the Norbrec, show was superb, the lighting was always a problem but a fantastic venue used to its best. Congratulations to the organisers.

Was there any info anywhere online about what would be at this show? I did think about going but its a long way and I wanted to know about what exhibitors would be there.

As for Parking don't worry there are spaces for over 4000 cars apparently.
We are hoping to have the Indoor pool which the Show Is known for,lighting which has allways been a bone of contention obviously being a sports centre wont be In Issue ! There are plenty of toilets both disabled and able bodied.
Traders will be In attendance as allways...........MORE INFO CLOSER TO THE SHOW
Clubs are as ALLWAYS WELCOME to attend.
