How we see

Was in the same situation as you Rick, no problem, just get a pair of vari -focals from your optician, then you'll have both reading sight and normal sight when you look up.👍

How we see

I have been wearing glasses for better than 65 years. Seeing an optometrist all of that time to determine the strength of prescription. Was found to have cataracts this appointment and needed to have surgery. Both eyes now done with my prescription as the new lens. No need for glasses except for reading. Before the surgery I could work on small parts with or without my glasses. When I wore glasses they where by-focal so could see distance and read. Now I see distance but can't read. I use the reading glasses to work on the boats without them all is blurry. When working on small parts the glasses work well. If I look up to view the plans need to look over the glasses or take them off as with them distance is blurry. I like the fact of not wearing glasses but do miss not beaning able to see up close. The good and bad of getting older.
