Tempted and bought it

I managed to get hold of a second receiver for my Futaba so i can use the Radio for both boats. So i fitted the radio to my MTB today and everything is ready to give it a blast at the weekend hopefully weather permitting. i will post some pictures.

Hi Rick, To Be honest i looked at a couple of these kits before i purchased Katie and i am glad i didn't because this want's little work and very few parts i could not resist it, I know my Futaba is a bit over the top for this boat but i can always get a spare Receiver and use it in both when Katie is built. At least i have something to sail if we get any more reasonable weather, Flipping cold today by the pond but nice to see people giving it a go.

Hi' I met up a Member of the local model boat club today at Wicksteed Park boating lake who had a MTB for sale and it turned out that Bill was the Treasurer of that Club, Any way to cut a long story short i bought it and meeting with the club tomorrow morning. Bill built it a while ago from scratch and it is close to 1/24th scale he is going to supply some crew and odd bits and pieces and i have have to do is fit my Futaba radio and away i go, something to do on Sunday Morning.
