IMHO Kit Shack are a good shop to deal with but like anyone , there can be an odd hick up here and there and it is the response that shows the good from the bad

Thank you Kitshack I look forward to recieving the parts and getting started on the build. in view of this I will close the dispute tonight, maybe we can move on from this situation. 👍

Kitshack Models have been a great help and have produced a half kit for me , something that other manufactures wont do
. You might have got hic up in the comunication system but I have found them 100 % genuine and helpful ,

Okay, not sure why you are missing so many parts other than the base which we spoke about earlier in the week, I believe I even cut the bow sections to go into the kit so again not sure where they have disappeared to, again the 1.5 mm for the deck structure is all cut on the same sheet so again why its not in there is a mystery.

I will cut new extra bow sections, base and a whole new 1.5mm sheet as I cant see whats missing from it and get it all in the post for you first thing on Monday for you.

I dont think that a telephone call will actually get the parts you believe are missing. I would suggest that the absolutely best way to get to the completed parts is to mark up the plans/instructions indicating what is missing. if you email that to them, I am sure they will then make/remake the parts you need. I know they are a newish business as I have met one of the directors, and have 100's of very satisfied customers both at home and overseas. I am sure they have sold kits to Australia and USA so they are not a 'fly by night' operation.

If you clearly show on a marked up sketch, what is missing/wrong, and email it to their address, I am positive they will get the parts out pronto.

I have been to their unit and can vouch for their honesty and integrity with me at least.

I suggest you check paypal again I replied last night and I took the paypal route through you not replying to my emails, I am happy to sort this out as I want to move on and start building the kit I gave you my phone number so we could sort it out over the phone. if you can sort out the bottom panel and other parts I will drop the dispute straight away

I have replied to you on the model boats website and please explain if I am wrong why I only have 3x25mm bow pieces 1x 12.5mm piece 4x50mm pieces,no bottom panel no plasticard, only 1 bag of small fittings which appear to only make up the bridge area)

Bassman you have been replied to by email on all of them from the last couple of days, and also on the case you have opened on Paypal, (which I have also replied to but no response still)!. I would like to say that your comments in the Paypal case are totally unnecessary and is not the best way to go when wanting to amicably sort things out. if you could reply to either of the communications that would be helpful for both.

Why not try 'phoning them, ask to speak to the manager/owner. I always appreciated a call from satisfied customers and the not so satisfied, it's how you deal with a phone call that sets the business apart from the rest so unsatisfied become satisfied. With all said and done what have you got to loose?........Don't forget to get the name of the person who you speak to.

well thats another day without a reply despite sending a second mail 👎 ,I even offered to drive down to them to sort it. Sorry but thats just really bad customer service !!!

I have had several boats from Kitshack and have had no issues whatsoever. They have been more than helpful with questions and any additional parts I have needed to complete the models.

I can only think this is a one off and you should never condemn a business just because of one rogue kit.

I do know that theier kits are not for the fainthearted and perhaps Hydroman can bear that out with his J class build.

Disappointing indeed, but have you contacted the supplier? We can all make mistakes but its how we deal with them that's Important.

I am really dissapointed with my purchase of the "J" class destroyer from Kitshack. After waiting 4 weeks for delivery the kit has turned up with parts missing !! This was bought as a birthday present for me and the person who bought It Is really upset. Buyers beware
