Scaling up Plans

HI Bob
Basically I've cut out a few bits and that's about it so far. Mainly due to lack of time and many other projects but hopefully more will happen in 2014!
I don't know how but the time seems to fly by as you get older and allegedly retired!!
Thanks for asking though, I'll have a look at your blog.
Regards
Chris

Scaling up Plans

I recently got tug plans at 1:96 scale. I went to the local Staples office supplies store and a kindly lady enlarged the 4 plans on an A0 copier and that gave exactly 1:48 scale I needed on two A0 sheets for £3 a sheet. A bargain.

Scaling up Plans

Thanks for all your suggestions, I'll have a go with PosteRazor first as my scanner doesn't seem to have any facility for resizing.
Thanks again

Scaling up Plans

HI Chris
PosteRazor is a free software, search in Google and choose a download site. its actually for producing Posters and prints on A4 sheets which you join together.
Works well for enlarging plans and its FREE!!!
Good luck 😀

Scaling up Plans

HI Chris,
I find that scanning and then reprinting 25% larger works on small items, but for larger plans I reprint in poster form which is usually resizeable. This works with my Kodak printre scanner, and also with my HP Pro printer. I run XP Pro./ Vista/7/8/ and also in Linux. Scanners tend to have resizing as an available option on most these days.
Hope this is helpfull, Colin.

Scaling up Plans

Ref up scaling of plans.
I found it easier to get a local printer to scale up or down for you me on A1 paper. I only paid £3 and for a similar fee they gave me a PDF copy on a memory stick as well
Hope this helps

Scaling up Plans

In conjunction with my Paddle Steamer project I need to scale up some plans by around a quarter.
Does anyone know of any suitable software (preferably low cost or free! ) that will do this on a PC running Windows XP, 7 or even 8.

Many thanks In anticipation
Chris
