If you use a thread locking compound, I would use Locktite low strength pink, or Vibra-tite thread locker.

    Loctite is good insurance,
    Blue loctite would be best.

Lock nuts should be OK but loctite would be belt and braces. It is possible to release loctite with a small amount of heat, so its not permanent.

I have a question that I could use some advise on. If I use lock nuts on props, do I need to also use Locktite? The screws are part of a rather high powered system with 800 motors driving 1.5 inch props with dogs.
    Thanks!
