    Great colour, excellent finish Schmango๐Ÿ‘
I'm pretty sure that 12V SLA will be too heavy.
    It'll weigh about 2kg๐Ÿค”
For comparison; my 24" Sea Scout weighs 1.98kg all up with a 3S 4Ah LiPo.
She planes very nicely with a 1000kv motor and 30mm prop.
Performance report and videos at link below.

Made some progress - have since bolted the outboard on and with a 12v lead acid I think might be too heavy . I will give it a try once itโ€™s all wired up and see how it runs. Iโ€™m absolutely winging this build ๐Ÿ˜€

Interested to see how this progresses. I'm soon to start building something similar but smaller and slower, being a river and lake cruiser. It will be 17" long.

It was designed for an outboard but it's been difficult getting a decent outboard at a scale of 1:12 so I've changed to it being an inboard.

I like how you have dealt with the flare to the hull as can be difficult to get right.

Building 6 Faireys at a scale of 1:12 and another in the pipeline!

Hi everyone. I started this cabin cruiser 10 years ago and decided to blow the dust of recently . Itโ€™s my own design from scratch and Iโ€™m completely winging it as I go. The idea is for it to be a knock about model that I can use with my 6yo son . Iโ€™ve designed it with high freeboard to be used in choppy water and I have an ep1 outboard that Iโ€™m going to bolt on the back . โ€ฆ.. I might go for twins but that could be ambitious for a 28โ€ model . Keen to see how others have built the outboard well area and steering set up. Cheers
