Superb idea Martin. If you bolt them to a plate, add a small electric motor to one end and a couple of bearings to the cap you have a small lathe.

Hi Guys,
When I was working on mast's, yard's, or anything that required painting I found It a little difficult as things keep slipping of of blocks when working or painting.
So I knocked up a couple of holders.
These can be used horizontally or vertically and rotated as and when required.
Due to the 4 Allen bolts you can grip round or square in fact most shapes, you are only limited to the diameter of the Bottle tops.
Made from scrap blocks of wood.
8 x 5mm Allen bolts.
2 x large Bottle tops.
And 2 x long bolts for the main shafts.
