After turning on your transmitter and receiver use a household fan to simulate a breeze. I do this in the wintertime when working on my project.

If the rigging is still attached to the sails and winch just plug into to FlySky and see what it does. Could be the travel has been adjusted to suit the number of turns on the servo and the direction may be different to your set. So initially make sure you can disconnect the power if the end travel is reached. Should be easy enough to replicate the original settings with your set. Once working you can see how the winch works the sails. We all have our own favourite method of controlling sails and without seeing all the connections it is difficult to offer help. Hopefully it may all work as is but please ask and supply photos if you need more assistance.

I have been looking into doing the 3 servo's and thinking at this time I will stay with the one. My problem is I'm having difficultity in understanding how the rigging is hooked up (routed) and looking for some good drawing photo's on how it should be.
I wrote to Billing asking them for help and there answer was: "We don't offer technical support for RC since 2015 as we don’t have any here with the right skills any longer.
We also don't sell RC- BUT you can join our facebook group - For advice from other builders that have experience with RC installation!"
Ast to the Motor and ESC I will try it they way it is set up with a new Fly Sky FS - i6 X 10 Channel ( got the 10 channel for $3 more on Amazon)

Nice looking model. We have in the past had a couple of the Colin Archer models sailing with the Club.
As regards multiple sail winches I would stick with the single winch for all the sails as trying to adjust at any distance is a nightmare and works much better if all sails work together.
The motor is useful for occasional use and the 550 type in your model should be OK and not need replacing. Not sure about the ESC but any 15amp modern type should suffice. Modern Flysky 2.4Ghz will just plug in and replace the FM radio.
I use 6v LiFe batteries in my smaller yachts a but any 6-12v battery with a Ubec for the Rx would suffice. It is quite a beamy model so you will need ballast.

Good Morning
I just acquired a Billings Boat The Colin Archer “414” , And it is currently rigged For RC and electric motor. It is set up with a Futaba Receiver 6 Channel (the Old FM Radio) I would like to Upgrade to a 2.4 MEG radio and new motor and ESC.
It only has servo’s for one sail winch servo, Rudder servo and old style motor controller. The plans I was able to get off of the web site, for this boat show shows 3 sail servo’s but does not show how to rig the sails for sail control.
Is there anyone who can tell me what I need for new updated electronics’ Sail winch Size( can I use the old servo's with new reciever 2.4meg), What Motor size, With ECS Battery size ( Lippo, Nimh, or any other Battery) boat did not come with a battery I assume it was Lead acid. Don’t know what size I would need other than 6 volt.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
