Father's Day

Fathers' Day for me normally means doing a job for one of my sons.
This year it involved rehanging a metal gate (cutting off welded pins, welding on new ones, renewing timber post bolted to house wall) and running an external cable from the house to a junction box mounted on a post. (excavating through 3" reinforced concrete, digging out, laying trunking, threading cable, electrical connections both ends, putting post into ground)
Just normal light duties !😉

Sounds Like he has his hands full. Thankfully he has you!!
Like Toby Keith says, "I ain't as good as I once was , But I am good once as I ever was😊😊
I am also 74, No grass growing under our feet !!

Father's Day

I taught him all the skills to do the job himself, but he said that I would do it better.
I don't think that he has the time with a disabled wife and 2 lively children, so in a way I appreciate that he still trusts me at 74 to do a good job.
Cheers Colin.

Father's Day

That's Great, Bill
it is a wonderful thing when one's children show their appreciation to their parents
It shows what a great job you did👍👍
I will definitely look that title up.
Aviation is another of my many weaknesses.😍

Father's Day

My son gave me a trailer repair job to do for him, as well as a card from him and one from the grandchildren.
So five hours work until it rained, electric welder doesn't like the rain. I'll have to finish it tomorrow.
I expect he'll let me know when he wants me to deliver it.
Happy fathers day to all you Dad's.
Cheers Colin.

Trev.
I echo your sentiments.
My children (well not children anymore, but you know what I mean) bought me a book about one of my aviation heroes.
Eric “Winkle” Brown.
Incredible aviator.
Brilliant book, can’t put it down 👍
Regards
Bill.
Never give up.It will come right in the end.
