Finally found some all be it a 16 mile round trip my model shop didn’t have what I wanted but the local hardware shop even found me m3 washers as well I can get on now with finishing the grab rails

Think I’ve found some m3 nuts and bolts toolstation pack of 25 £1.29 will check my model shop when there back open Tuesday and if they haven’t tool station it is and yes will cut heads off and glue in place they don’t come with washers but will find something that fits

I buy most of my nuts and bolts etc. from Westfield Fasteners. They do a good range and good quality including M2 and deliver quickly.
Do you have enough timber to drill, cut the heads off the bolts, resin in place and secure with washers and nuts?

Been round all the shops and one last one to try for smallest nuts and bolts and washers for grab rails think it’s going to be M3 size for brackets to fix to top of roof all our outlets including train shops all out of stock not liking sending off for them in case there wrong need them on top for now so can get on with the cabin

With some of the small fittings like handrail knobs etc it is worth crossing over to other hobies to check accessories.
For instance there is a large selection of handrail knobs with model railway specialists and the various gauges give different scales.

Well after nearly 4 days measuring ,cutting ,and sanding with the dremmell I think I’m happy just a bit of mahogany mite make it a treat ,just got to find nuts ,bolts and washers small enough to fit
