That's a very nice model and I agree with you about the cruising.
A good scale model should cruise nicely at a fast walking pace.
My Caroline manages 13 knots true speed which is a tad fast but half throttle is perfect.

It is a big motor I agree, but all the smaller quality motors peaked near 20k rpm and I wanted the throttle control a slower motor would give me. It should cruise nicely I hope close to half throttle.

Mine has yet to see the water with me. The little girl is a shade under 4ft.. I acquired used and I'm in the process of refitting the running gear. I had no idea of the condition or service life of the original installation so I am starting from new. Your input is most helpful!!
