Hi Doogle, I think the proprietory things in your photos are the plank bending item etc. Sandy used to write for International Marine Modelling magazine and he always did a very good set of building instructions.
I see looking at your photos the article was in May / June 1995 so it is a scratch build and looks very nicely done. The plans are available from Sarik. regards Roy

Good morning Roy, don't know much about this model yet, just it was too good to end up in the landfill because nobody interested. Looking forward to sharpening my "modelling skills "๐

Very nice fishing boat, not jealous but certainly envious. You should get a lot of enjoyment from that build. I see the name Sandy Cousins mentioned, I met him at one of the old Model Engineering exhibitions. Lovely man I had a few conversations with him over a couple of days.
I did not know the fishing boat was also available as a kit.
regards Roy

Good morning Wolfgangb, that's the intention, prop shaft already in situ, didn't have much chance to examine everything in detail last night, hopefully later on today I can get a proper look ๐

Hello Chris, I have only just seen your new project, it looks very interesting, ๐ I would like to look over your shoulder. Do you also want to put the ship on the water?

Good morning everyone, thanks for the kind comments. Looking forward to getting back to some sort of "normal "after what has seemed to be an age. Still going to do battle with the DVLA and hospital, one for misdiagnosis and the other for still penalising me when they have in their hands a letter stating the former. Hopefully they'll take their blinkers off and read the facts, not the fiction. Apologies shipmates, I'm a bit like a dog with a bone ๐คฃ. Anyway have a great day, my build blogs might be getting more drawn out now as work and homecare/life combine but I'll still be following and hopefully make contributions as my projects continue ๐

Chris, Congrats on getting your driving privileges back. I can't imagine not being able to drive myself anywhere. Your new acquisition looks like a great project. From the pictures, it looks like it was started well, so a solid base to complete the build. Dave B

So far my collection resembles "The Island of Misfit Toys". I've picked up several boats that are old builds and have been neglected. I'm giving them the TLC they need, hoping to bring them back to their former glory. Once I get enough practice/ experience I intend to take on a full build.

Doodle you lucky fellow, glad to hear you've been let loose on the road again, I had similar issues a few years back, although I got my all clear to drive the powers that be decided I needed to resit my hgv and coach tests, luckily my employer at the time payed for a refresher course and tests. At that time I was driving very large mobile cranes for civil engineering projects. I was only off the road for 4 months but it seemed like a lifetime. That boat looks like you have a model that was started well so should be good for you to finish. Keep them wheels turning shipmate. Cheers Colin.
