I had this problem many times, there are many good fixes. My solution was to contact Rustoleum by email they sent me a whole bunch of different types of spare nozzles for free.

The sure way to succeed is, just try one more time

Back in the 'old days' these were the tool of choice to painters everywhere.. (for kerosene blow lamps) the wire is just small and stiff enough to tease the clog cr?p from a paint can nozzle!

Good tips - and I like Colins idea of saving old nozzles after the cans are empty! (something I have done many times over the years!).
I sometimes drop the dirty rattle can nozzle into a small screw top jar (like an airbrush storage paint jar) part filled with thinners - and give it a good shake .
This agitates the clogged paint (after it has had time to soak) and can save risking any damage to the nozzle if you don't have the correct size drill bits to open them out accurately.
Soak - Shake - Repeat. This process can be repeated several times until the nozzle is clear and doing more than one nozzle at a time (if your jar is big enough) helps the agitation and can save time if you have more than one blocked nozzle.
Bob.

When I use Rattle cans and I have finished spraying I turn the can upside down and continue to spray into the booth until the spray is clear. Have not had much trouble with the nozzle clogging since doing this. You probably do this anyway.

That's a helpful tip Lew. Whenever I use rattle cans I re.ove the Nozzle after each use a put in a jar of cellulose thinners till next needed, then blow through with airline before use. I even keep nozzles from empty cans the same way so always have a few spares. Cheers Colin.

Thankyou LewZ, us Canadians are "bilingual", we speak both fractional/decimal inches as well as METRIC, so your dimensions are well understood North of the "longest undefended border" OH! CANADA!
