Back to my workshop

Have been into my workshop a few times but was left feeling under the weather after less than an hour so achieved very little.
This week I managed 3 full days without any adverse effects so I finally seem to be over my surgery.
First job was to get my lathe fully up and running an then my milling machine needs to be fully installed so in a week or two will be back on my boats.
Will post some pictures of my “handiwork” soon.

Ed,

I'm sort of a sucker for "rescue boat" projects, too. Almost all of mine needed rescue efforts of some sort.

Friends refer to my fleet as "The Island of Misfit Toys".

There is a certain satisfaction in saving a boat from being tossed in the trash bin.
Sometimes I get lucky, and they turn out pretty nice. 🤣

PS I actually also made an impulse buy at a swap meet on May 5th. You might recognize it .....
So far my collection resembles "The Island of Misfit Toys". I've picked up several boats that are old builds and have been neglected. I'm giving them the TLC they need, hoping to bring them back to their former glory. Once I get enough practice/ experience I intend to take on a full build.

Congratulations on your new boats, nice ones. Best of luck on restorations.
The sure way to succeed is, just try one more time

While I was “excluded” from my workshop I managed to acquire a decent size test tank. 😇

Finish the White Star first Ed👍👍 It has undertones of a passenger liner in the name. 😀

Back to my workshop

Today will be my first day back in my workshop since December last year.
Have to look at the “impulse” acquisitions I made while I was recovering. A part built Krick U25, a Deans Marine HMS Royal Marine and a Billings White Star. All of which need to be completed or restored.
First I need to install and commission the milling machine that I bought last November.
I intend completing my Titan Tug before starting on the restores.
I soon be able to complete the articles on model boat wiring as well.
