Thank you all for your answers. So bottom line is that this is a modified old outmost with a brushless motor added. The best part is that I got it for a very very low price. I am planning to use a small servo for steering and add a small arm on these so that this servo can activate the steering. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘

If that doesn't work out, I have another friend that sells 3D printed outboard kits.
His motors have the steering and tilt servos built in, so the motor is essentially self contained.
I've seen them run, and they work well.
He has done a really nice job of making them detailed.
Here is a link to the outboards on his webpage:

While there take a peek at his pontoon kits.

Sorry if this post is against any rules, if so feel free to delete. I'm just trying to offer an alternative solution.

So far my collection resembles "The Island of Misfit Toys". I've picked up several boats that are old builds and have been neglected. I'm giving them the TLC they need, hoping to bring them back to their former glory. Once I get enough practice/ experience I intend to take on a full build.

You have a nice powerful engine n esc. If hooked up n it runs backwards just swap one of the 3 wired to motor. It will make a cool outboard running on a 1200 ma or 2000 ma battery all u need is a servo to move engine left ir right otherwise rudder is needed.

I posed your question to a friend of mine, who is very knowledgeable in old model outboards. Here is his response:

"I'm pretty confident that it started life as one of these (see link below). The only question I have is the adjusting screw on the front of the lower unit. The motor in the eBay link doesn't have it. Everything else matches. The only motors I know of that have that adjusting screw are some (but not all) of the '52-'54 K&O Johnson and Evinrudes. The lower units on those look the same as yours, but the transom clamp assembly on a K&O from that time would have a chromed spring clip fit in around the portion of the assembly attaching it to the motor. I'm pretty sure the spring clip was to maintain friction in the steering pivot, so whatever steering angle you set stayed. That's why I'm leaning toward the generic "Speed" brand."

Based on the age, the brushless motor is surely an upgrade added later. I looked at the ebay listing he sent, and what my friend Rob said makes sense.
    I hope this helps.

well, the name says it all. It is a Mystery ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

There is something strange with that outboard motor as it looks like the brushless motor was an after market modification. ( I am probably wrong, but it looks like old meets new ).

In any case, this should be a fun project. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž

Acquired these parts from a estate sale.
Need help to identify this outboard motor. Tried looking up the manufacturer names and numbers. Found some info on the escarpment and actual motor but not the complete outboard.
Has anyone ever used this outboard?
Planning to use it on a skiff that was a static boat. I saturated the inside and out with paint and polyurethane. Going to make it a boat that is transporting illegal alcohol.
