Lew, I shan't be painting this one.. It's not for the Cruiser it was a test for the printer and the figure scale/size.

I do have a few figures I will print and paint but not for a while I think!

Doesn't look too bad. I've seen a lot worse for over priced 3D figures. Usually free figure lack detail and resolution☹️. Hope you can get the girl cleaned up and painted. Look forward to see how it works out.

My freebie test print subject.. The print quality is acceptable and I can scale these figures to fit the boat just as I want them, (this little girl is about 90mm high).. I just hope my painting skills do them justice..

I have downloaded a test figure from 'www.yeggy.com'.. I'll try to print some and see how they turn out. I have never imported .stl files to print before, just printed my own creations. This is a new experience!!

Thanks for all your input guys.. I have contacted Holden8702 for help. Unfortunately I cannot go below 1:20 scale, 1/18 is what I would prefer. All the other suggestions here were either too small or out of stock.. (Howes models O/S!)

I found some Tamiya "Pit Crew" figures for the PT-61 gunboat. Took some modes. They are out of production but you should be able to find some on eBay or a dusty shelf in an old hobby shop. I believe there are several different kits so you can get more poses.

Pat.. I found a couple of Thomas' on Faceache, unfortunately I did not discover any scale figures.

There is a guy called Allen Thomas on the Wirral the advertises on Faceache that does figures - not sure what he does but worth a look

If you can’t find suitable 1:20 figures, a good substitute would be the 1:20 figures used in model car diorama. A 1:20 six foot man would be 3.6 in.in 1:20 and 4.0 in. In 1:18.

They come in male and female in a great variety of poses. A 1:18 mechanic is shown below.

There are a lot of figures in 1/18 scale, which would be just a little larger if you can’t find any 1/20 figures. A 6’ man in 1/20 will stand 3.4 inches tall, while a 1/18 would be exactly 4” tall. Many are made by American diorama, and include men in many poses and women. As people are not all the same size, it wouldn’t be very noticible. I have quite a variety of 1/18 figures displayed with 1/18 die cast cars. A kneeling 1:18 mechanic is shown below.
