Something we have in common Pat - my fingers don’t work that well either - in-fact, two of them don’t work at all any more!
Mine are also affected by old age but arthritis takes its fair share of the blame too.
Getting old can be a bit tough at times……but it’s a lot better than the alternative!
I will celebrate another birthday next Friday (hopefully), and to date, there has been no cure for old age (or arthritis ), but I will keep making and playing with model boats for as long as I am able to.
Sorry your colleague is not well at the moment, he has a superb collection of models that I have never seen on our club lake before, but hopefully that is about to change and he will be well enough to enjoy seeing them on the water in the near future.

I used to make models but now my fingers do not work that well - on of the problems of getting old :-( The only models I buy are for me but if they turn out to be not as good as I wished, or are a bigger job to make then in a state I would wish then I pass them on.
These are not my models - I am selling for a collegue who is not well at the moment - hence I do not have the ability to negociate on the price that much.
There are more to come when these are sold
