Clinker Style kit

I did break a couple though when I caught them with my hand, was able to glue the back together.

It was a very satisfying build, well designed kit and all goes together nicely.

Full instructions are at the bottom of the webpage linked below.

He’s sold all 100 first run of Seagulls, they all went in 3 or 4 days.

I’m currently building one, I’ll sort some pics when it’s finished but there is a gallery of mine on Facebook, the album should be public though FB never displays them in the right order. I’ve added a few of the pics here.

I have the Seagull to power it when complete, it will be rudder steered with the Seagull outboard to one side.

Still a work in progress as made the decision to paint mine and add 0.5mm mahogany veneer to the thwarts and transom and to replace the inner and outer gunwales with mahogany as I don’t like the varnished finish of the laser cut timber.

Have some tidying up to do and fit the gunwales along with final painting and varnishing.

I’ll publish a more detailed build story when I’ve finished it.
