Yes, I can confirm that I’ve recently experienced slowdowns, and not just that.
For some time now, I’ve encountered the following issues (I’m not sure if they are linked or have independent causes):
when accessing emails, instead of the page loading normally, a page of scripts appears—scripts that are unintelligible to me;
selected images, videos, and PDFs don't load correctly (sometimes items go missing or duplicates appear);
and the connection is slow, eventually dropping completely offline.

Yesterday, the site was completely inaccessible, though that might have been due to the work Stephen (Fireboat) was carrying out.

It seems I disappear for a week and the ship starts taking on water.

The old database appeared to have developed authentication problems on Friday. The last successful backup was taken on Friday afternoon. I suspect the website sank beneath the waves on Saturday morning.

That means there is a possibility that we’ve lost roughly 12 hours of data between the last backup and the point at which everything went fully overboard.

As a temporary measure, I’ve created a new database and restored the website into it. It’s afloat and operational again, although this replacement engine room isn’t quite as quick as the original.

Once I’m back home in a few days, I’ll get properly below deck, work out what caused the original database to mutiny, and get everything back up to full cruising speed!

Looks like something is wrong with "guess the word" Todays works but yesterdays clue is the same as today, but the answer is wrong.. It actually says "invalid word"

Yes, the site is a bit slow at the moment Chris, and I have also noticed the slow uploading speed.

Maybe it’s because we are all using it too much and adding too much content?

I've noticed that on and off for awhile now and certainly slower at the moment, particularly if using my tablet rather than the PC.
