Where are they?

Think you are very brave to share that one. Here’s one from me. Got up made cuppa. Let dogs out, went into lounge opened the curtains. Went to the little room.
Returned to the kitchen NO tea. Where is it? Retraced steps twice, gone.
About to search garden, although hadn’t been out, so put the milk away in the fridge first. Opened the door, yep, there’s my tea mug sitting on a shelf!
Please keep this between us, as obviously I don’t want it to become general knowledge.
Have fun.

Where are they?

"I once lost my car .."
Wot U 2 Marky?
Back in autumn '85 I'd been here a few weeks and treated myself to a BMW 520i.
(Salary here was almost double what I had had in UK!😉)
I lived in a flat in NE Munich back then and wanted to go into the city centre.
So I drove to a main north south drag parked (for free😊) and hopped on a bus to the centre.
Came back several hours later after exploring and shopping in Munich centre.
Hopped off the bus, walked back the block I remembered and ... No car!!!😮
Phoned the Polizei and waited.
About 20 mins later they turned up, also in a BMW 5er but with the 3.5 litre motor!
They asked me to climb in and proceeded to drive round the block.
"Let's just have a look around" they said.
Five minutes later a very red faced small feeling owner was looking at his car, two blocks further down the road where I had parked it. Got off the bus one stop too soon😌

What made it worse was that as I got into the patrol car the door didn't shut properly.
Since you can't open the rear doors of a police car from the inside, for obvious reasons, or open the window, I pulled sharply on the armrest to close the door.
And the bl***y thing came orf in me 'and! Oh woe was me ☹️
The cops just looked at each other, rolled their eyes, muttered something like stupid Englander and drove round to my car, which they must have already seen!
Highly 'embrassing' 🤔
Night all, Doug 😎

Spent at least three hours searching for sheets for the orbital sander today - still not found - but discovered unused detail sander in a very odd place (under the kitchen sink) - used that - does a better job on our hardwood trophy plaques. Bought from Woolworths just before they closed down on sale for next to nothing - sad........
Best one ex managed - lost her car keys - turned up a day later in the freezer section of the fridge......... the remote a bit iffy after that.

Glyn,
I once lost my car ,I took it to work parked up and after finishing forgot I had driven to work and got the bus home ,wife came home "where's the car"? Run around in a panic when was the last time you saw it ,phone the police a couple of hours later I remembered went and picked up the car and on the way home got stopped by the efficient boys in blue talk about a red face 🤬🤡 can't even blame it on a senior moment I wasn't that senior.

Where are they?

Ok good friends, helpful as you were, you can all stand down. Her indoors eventually got fed up with me turning the house upside down said you’ve put them somewhere stupid. I initially denied this of course.
Have you looked upstairs in bed drawers? Of course I haven’t, there’s only clothes in there, it would be stupid place to put them. When she wasn’t looking I investigated, there they were in all their glory. Sure she must have put them there.
Anyway I pretended I found them in the garage. So all is well now. On with the build!
👍😀

Top shelf in the garage Glyn?
In the grass bin of the lawnmower perhaps!
(Never gets used anyway 😁)
How about in the box of the original kit?
That's what I often do when bits are destined for a particular model.

You have the receipts - but do you have the delivery notes? 😮

Hi Doug,
At least I don't have to worry about smuggling in any model kits.
I can't afford them.
Give me an old ice cream tub and a few food containers and I'll makes something!

Where are they?

I'd have to clear my models off the ceiling and tables and completely rearrange my workshop, (I mean house), like that's ever going to happen!! finally don't have arguments, can put my feet on the table, go fishing 24/7 if I want, save money, not have to fix damaged cars etc etc. It was like the old 'Daniel in the lions' den' story (not the religious one) when Daniel came back to the city after being banished and found the young maiden pregnant with his child. She asked him what steps he was taking, "bloody great big ones" he said.
A days fishing without a woman in the boat is NICE days fishing (unless she's good at baiting and gutting, oh, and steering a boat in a straight line and not arguing with the captain about the best spot to fish!)

Where are they?

2x too late for that Doug! Funny story, was doing an Autocad course at tech years ago with a bunch of guys, and we were having a wife similarity discussion during morning tea. It was amazing how alike all our wives/ girlfriends were! We were discussing hiding places and one guy told us, that one time he made a hundred dollars doing a small job for someone, told his wife he made twenty and gave his wife twenty saying she may as well have it ❤️❤️❤️ etc. Hid the rest in the inside pocket of an old sports jacket he hadn't worn for 10 years, which was in the back of a cupboard, and forgot about it. Months later he needed some money and suddenly remembered the stash, went to get it and found she'd left him five dollars change. 😐 just shows ya, we're not that smart !

She's a woman, she's already found the presents (they are from Venus and can read your mind)☹️ and they are always one hiding place ahead of you. Probably keeping the receipts to introduce to a future expendture 'discussion/inquisition'

Ask the better half where they tidied them up for safety. Doesn’t work though because they always respond”should not leave things lying around if they are not to be tidied.😩

Where are they?

Most modern electronic equipment is fitted with a Critical Needs Detector.

The CND is a miracle of modern software - it can automatically determine whether you REALLY need any item it is bundled with, and only at that point will it create a bug, total systems failure, or, in your case, simply make the equipment unavailable. Seems to work particularly well with photocopiers...

Where are they?

Some months (last year) I bought all the electonics/electrical stuff for a twin motor model. Now I need to fit them, guess what? I can’t find the damn things anywhere! I’ve even spent a day tidying up my workroom, no success. Agreed it did need doing.
So my question to you is where are they. Any clues will be more than welcome.
Have fun.
PS yes I did buy them got the email receipts!
