Fast attack craft

Hi Red,
You say that you wish you could build quicker.
I have found if I try to go quicker I end up making a pig's ear LOL!
I have been making my HMS Cottesmore for over three years now and every time I go to do something to her something else crops up.
As you know I only made this for the EeZeBuilt site but I am not happy with it.
I need to design something better.
The problem is I am not that good at drawing, I normally have an idea in my head and then I make it.

Good to hear Martin - sure you will make a great job of it like everything else you build.
Envy your speed & dedication - wish I had more time to build .........and built a little faster . (One took 10 years...)

Ok guys,
I will do a bit more to it.
At the moment I don't know if I have enough bits and pieces to make it radio control,
I will have to have a good look around.

Hi Martin,
How on earth do you build all these different craft so fast.
I like the look of it. It does look as though it could be ideal for the younger builders. I agree with the other members. It would be nice to see this one completed and chasing a couple of Ducks.😁
I cannot promise to finish one project before starting another. I know, I tried.

Martin you really do get a move on - its looking good so far. Be a pity not to complete it.
That's a pretty good build for someone who does not like the material he is working with..........

Well Martin, I hope you do consider completing it, as I think it has great potential with the right finish. It could be varying models with different options and colours.

Hi Colin,
At the moment it is still at a very early stage there are no actual drawings just scribbled down sketches and instructions.
I have not decided to do any more to it.

Hi Nerys,
I agree with you it is definitely not my thing either.
But as you say I might appeal to the younger ones.
I will have to think of something more seaworthy and large enough to be able to have room for some decent radio equipment in it.
Something that will appeal to a bigger audience.

Martin it's a nice size for a starter model.
Should make a nice usable model for a lot of learners.
Have you any drawings/plans that you can share with us all. I have an old ezebuilt boat from the early 70's that I was given as an unfinished model, I use it to show how a simple model is made.
Will you be painting it, I'd be most interested in seeing the finished model.
Cheers Colin.

Not my sort of boat I'm afraid but I can appreciate it being a simple design for easy building and as such, could find favour with youngsters or beginners. One of those high speed things that fly around the lake.
When the winds before the rain, soon you may make sail again, but when the rain's before the wind, tops'l sheets and halyards mind

Hi Martin,
Certainly a fast looker, what's the length and beam. Could be a fast water taxi in monte carlo.

Hi Guys,
Follow on from my thread "work with Balsa"
I said that I would try and have a go at designing a boat for the EeZeBuilt site.
As you know I have not worked with Balsa wood for many many years.
I only made the hull and superstructure to see how it will work out.
So hear is my first attempt.
I am not That happy about it so I think I will have another think.
