We cured the problem at New Brighton with an additive that destroys already but doesn't harm wildlife or fish. I will post a link when I get the name of the stuff. Bundles of barley straw are also a great help, not tried at NB but have read up on the subject and seems pretty effective...

Great video, thanks for sharing. I love sailing videos (with sailboat propulsion). Too bad there wasn't much wind. I noticed you could also motor (propeller-driven, I mean), right? In strong winds, could you turn without using the propeller? ▲

Be careful Pat, I don't know how big your rudder is (because I can't see it) but if it's to scale it's fine for turning with a propeller but it won't be enough with sail propulsion alone (without the flow of water on the rudder generated by the propeller you need a lot of speed).

yes it has a motor as well - it is a big heavy model so in light winds like today turning it is a little difficult- will be interesting to see it in stronger winds ๐ ▲
