Hi I like your new yacht as well. Just in case you are unaware, when you have rudder sitting at an angle as your one is, then do not heel the boat over too far as you will no longer have directional control.
As soon as you get to about 40 degrees the rudder is actually flapping up and down and not side to side.
I have a yacht similar so I have been there etc. So what to do? Just let the sails out more and get the yacht to sail as upright as possible.
Fenders. There is a woman whose husband is a member of the Toronto Metro Marine Modelers (MMM) and she crochets these little guys. I paid CAN$65 for a set of seven, one of which was the big mustache type for the bow which is very important to prevent damage to other boats on the pond. I can ask at the CMM, Hamilton Ca. for more info if you wish.
They look perfect, exactly what I want about 2” long - about six
I think. I’ve researched a few of the recommended sites on here, there should be no problem on line.
Shame there are few model shops around in Manchester UK.
She looks really nice. The sails look like they might be made with panels to give a pre determined shape a bit of trimming to remove the folds and tighten glib luff and I bet she sail beautifully
Foam water pipe covers work well too. Cut to desired length split and CA to bow.
Also packing foam rubber works well too, you don’t need a lot
Yes I know you have a sailing vessel and not a tugboat, but the principle is the same. You want to protect your bow and not damage your fellow yachts around you.

Hope it saves you some anguish.
