About this boat

The bootlegger has been a race boot in the 1920.
Some time ago, I purchased from eBay an old "kit" containing wood and parts for the rudder, prop, and prop drive.
This lovely boat is constructed with a ply hull and covered all over with mahogany.
It drives very smoothly, but when going fast through curves, the open canopy allows water to enter into the hull.

They are a beautiful boat, but I too had issues with water ingress, though not through the open canopy. With mine it came through the join in the lift out section from the windscreen to the stern. I solved a lot of the problem using Vaseline as a sealant but if i was resourceful i would make a rubber seal.

Mine was a complete scratch build so there were some errors but overall, happy with her and she gets attention.
Did you go brushless and Lipo with yours?
