In the process of renovating this very old boat. Stripped out the the box construction inner to leave the skins showing. I am going to try and make this as authentic as possible from old photographs of the full size craft.
I remember this style of Thames Police launch from my barge sailing days in the fifties. I always found the river police very friendly, but whether that was a front for watching us to see that we weren't up to no good, I don't know, just guess!
Robbob,
I liked the video thanks for posting it.
The strange thing is in those days you only needed three plain clothed police to arrest six guys. and not one of them tried to run for it.
now you need six police to arrest one guy!
Hi groovydad.
Looking pretty good already 👍
The National Maritime Museum have some really good pictures of a model based on the early craft built by Tough Brothers, Teddington. https://collections.rmg.co.uk/collections/objects/67590.html
I expect you've seen them but they are a good reference.
There are a few videos on YouTube too.
Good luck with the rest of the restoration 😉
