So far my collection resembles "The Island of Misfit Toys". I've picked up several boats that are old builds and have been neglected. I'm giving them the TLC they need, hoping to bring them back to their former glory. Once I get enough practice/ experience I intend to take on a full build.

Do you have any photos of the the insides of the big wheel and throttle setup. I'd love to make similar for our club. Love seeing how event's are done on the other side of the world. Some very nice vessels too,

When you have the opportunity, would it be possible for you to share how you arranged the electronics on your Midwest Fireboat? I have completed the painting of mine, but I am currently uncertain about the best approach for the electronics installation.
Any guidance you could offer, along with photographs of your setup if available, would be greatly appreciated.

Theirs was too narrow to turn a boat around in, the Astroturf stuff ended up shedding into the water, and it LEAKED!

Hopefully, there will be no "ICE" inside the Convention Center. Enough immigration shenanigans are going on in the city without bringing it to a leisure products show.
However it was -11F (-23.88C) when I left the show last night, and by the time I had driven the 70 miles home it was -18F (-27.77C), reaching -25F (-31.66C) overnight. So ... there was plenty of "ice" being made outdoors.
And, those temps tend to severely diminish outdoor protests, etc.
Pretty much the only crime going on inside the Convention Center is the prices they charge for food and beverages!

Our Model Boat Club has been invited for the second year in a row to exhibit at the Minneapolis Boat Show, Jan 22nd through the 25th. It is at the Minneapolis Convention Center, and we are located in the east lobby area. We again have an "interctive" pond set up with our Vac-U-Tug boats for people to operate. We originally created these thinking youngsters would be the primary users. What we have observed is that they equally attract adults. The user operated boats are always a hit when we bring them to events.
