I have now! π Many thanks π
I may try some frame grabbing and photogrammetry...
There are/were looooads of these boats in the USA... one of the biggest contracts Fairey Marine ever had IIRC... Hamble was kept very busy for a while!

Many thanks for the reply CB90 π
I believe the original Fairey CSB was single hull.
I have indeed thought of creating my own plans (or rather a CAD model), but I really need access to a boat. Does anyone know of anyone who owns a CSB on the central south coast of England and could put me in touch please?
There is a Fairey Owners Club with a website and forum, but as the name suggests I believe one has to own a Fairey boat to gain access (please correct me if I'm wrong).

I recently came across this general arrangement drawing, which helps a lot with the early CSB... but does anyone have anything superior please, not least lines plans for the hull?
Thanks again
Andy

I'm searching for plans (lines, body, GA etc.) for Combat Support Boats (CSB) please. I'm interested in both the Mk1 (built by Fairey) and BAe's Mk2. If anyone has any, or knows somewhere I can get such, I'd be very grateful indeed!
Many thanks

π SS Torrey Canyon

I'm searching for plans (lines, body, GA etc.) for SS Torrey Canyon. Plans for the Torrey Canyon herself may be tough to come by, but I believe she was built to a common design? If so, does anyone have details? T'internet tells me she was an LR2 (any ideas if that is a class, or a specific design?) Suezmax (i.e. maximum dimensions for the canal) tanker built by the Newport News Shipbuilding & Drydock Company and initially had an oil capacity of 60,000 tons, but was later enlarged (simply lengthened, with any luck?!) in Japan to 120,000 tons capacity. If anyone knows any more, or can even direct me to some plans, I'd be very grateful indeed!
Many thanks
Andy

Without a skirt your model will be limited to smooth surfaces such as floors and patios. it may even struggle on grass. However, if you're willing to accept these limitations you'll also bypass one of the tricky components of RC hovercraft!

π HMS Dreadnought (S101)

That is a big advance on anything I have Doug! HUGE thanks!
Also, it has been a couple of years since I last visited the RN Submarine Museum at Gosport and I can't locate the photos I took there. They had several superb models on display, including the one shown below (not my photo).
In the background is the famous painting of the launch of HMS Dreadnought, but can anyone recall whether the model is also HMS Dreadnought, or one of her half-sisters (Valiant or Warspite, both 20ft longer), or another boat?

I also posted this at MBM was was also hoping people here might be able to help...
I'm trying to find ANY plans (but especially lines and body plans) for the RN's first nuclear submarine, HMS Dreadnought (S101). The NMM charge a fortune IMO π€ ,so not a viable option as I need to keep costs low. The Submarine Museum and the NMRN don't hold anything. π€ This has left me pretty much stuck! π At this stage I'll be happy to find anything, even if it is lacking in detail! Perhaps someone out there can come to my aid please? For instance, does anyone know of any GA drawings published in books or magazines from any country around the globe?
Many thanks in advance.
Andy
