''I've recently acquired a Revell HMS Snowberry model which has been dropped and suffered some damage. It's been ballasted and fitted for R/C, but has been neglected for some time and is very dusty. I've cleaned it as best I can with a brush, but it needs more. I was going to wash it in the shower and dry it with the wife's hair dryer, but would appreciate any advice on how to clean it thoroughly, especially given it has a lot of delicate parts.

I recently acquired a Billings Sea Star kit; the box was In bits, but the hull and superstructure are Intact.
I've passed It on to a neighbour whose 14-year-old son Is really keen to get Into radio control.
However, he's a novice, and I know nothing about R/C.
The boat Is long out of production; It appears to be a seagoing motor yacht and Is around three feet long.
Can anyone advise on what what Is needed In terms of radio control and a power plant?
