(Racing Boat) Bullet made by Joysway
Great little boat for blowing the cobwebs out would score it a 10 but takes a bit to control on steering (Motor: Water cooled 2815 Outrunner brushless motor) (ESC: 50A water cooled brushless ESC w/BEC) (9/10)

Probably to over powered but gives good run times and not much heat to the motor . Bit of a work in progress to be honest (ESC: Birdie 50) (8/10)

Very heavy wood made model . This is a Quality little boat who's maker has sadly passed and so was rescued , renovated and back in service . (Motor: MFA) (ESC: 40 amp ) (5/10)

This boat ran well on 2 Torpedo 850s but not for long before draining battery plus all original gear was very old , This almost cost me the model due to fire aboard her . This is what made me decide to strip it all out and start fresh with modern parts and materials , Specs to follow (Motor: Thumper) (ESC: Hobbywing) (10/10)

(Pleasure Craft) MFA Spearfish
Originally fitted with Torpedo 850 and on lead acid battery this boat handled like a lead brick , which was a waste of such a lovely hull , now it can motor along nicely and turns quickly and very stable . Plus run times are very good . Just needs lights fitting (Motor: Thumper ) (ESC: Turnigy) (9/10)

Hi Boatshed , Yes all MFA seem great boats . As for the Spearfish I have a Thumper Overlander in mine 2nd hand and cheap . if you want the wow factor in yours look to fit a Leopard brushless in runner as the result is fantastic . Look it up on YouTube couple of films of one ripping round a pond π

These are originally an I.C kit 1/6 scale , there is a company in Germany still making them believe they are called MHZ. I think I've scene them in 1/8 and 1/35 scale too . Also other builders have used water jet drives on films I've watched . This one is running on brushless motor normal prop and direct drive as all my boats have so far . Keeps the cost of spare parts down %uD83D%uDE0E%uD83D%uDC4D

This film was taken on our home lake at Needham Market . Originally an I.C powered boat I have converted to single brushless motor on a direct drive 48mm prop , single rudder . Powered by 2*5000mah 4 cell lipos . As you can see I am very pleased with its performance . π

Have a look at my Harbour pics . Also check out Youtube for inspiration . Happy Boating π

This is my M.F.A Tracker . When originally purchased it had the large and heavy 850 motors in it and old electronics , after a close call with a fire on board I decided to refit her out with modern Brushless motors and over rated Escs powered by Lipo's . Works out a 1/3 rd the weight 3 times the speed and run time over an hour . So a great result
Oh yes , sound effects donated by nearby Tug π

Maybe a little more bow weight would stop the problem , my Spearfish used to do that all I did was put lipo length ways and it stopped , but yeah if your happy with the bigger being the faster then go for it π
