I built this a few years back .. 7 foot long monster .. built out af ash timber , anyway 🤣 sold it and it became a coffee table with a glass top ..

Hi Bill. Yes I think they are ok for short bursts.. that pic was of the mk1 version.. the ones I use now have a kyosho brushless motor .. with a 2.3mm shaft. Same size as pump ,so I just filed a small flat on the end of shaft for the drive gear and made a adaptor plate ..This has worked extremely well.. got over 150 hours running on the clock ..👍

Ok Funny 🤣. I brought four of these pumps for water cooling motor and ESC in my boats ..cooked two of them running continuously for half an hour... Running on a 3 cell lipo .🙄🙄. ..So I modified them ,the pump part is good quality ..not so much the motor ..be perfectly ok for short bursts ..the pic below is of the first one I converted to brushless motor .

You will need one like this type ..there are two small plastic gears in these pumps ..and can pump water in both directions .

Thanks Ian 👍 ..yeah they go not too bad ,but they are big and this one is 22kgs .. bit of a handfull moving it around ..when the beam is 18 inches ..🙄.. molly is a lot better only 16inches beam

These other models are powered by 220 kv motors ,running on a 6 cell set up .180 amp controller .. running a prop shop 4inch 4 bladed prop ..thanks for asking 👍

These chasers were 36 foot long ..this model is 6 feet long and weighs 18 kgs .. Power is a 320 kv xera brushless motor ..max power 3.5 kw .. turning a 75mm propshop prop ..Its fast and fun to drive 😊 ..yes the harpoon is a bit dangerous 😳😁🙈. Cheers for asking 👍
