Getting there bit by bit, Cannons came out better than expected on the mini lathe so happy with them.
Just started to lay the deck down and hopefully start the detailing on the hull soon

As the title says this is my first build of model ship, I always wanted to build so no time like the present.
I am building it from scratch as i was told that it would be easier that way and there are no kits available for the ship i wanted to build. Having fun doing it anyway and so far so good although it will take a long time to finish but its a labour of love so i don't mind that too much.

Hi everyone,
im literally just starting out in the world of model ships and could do with some advice on the starting templates.
i have the templates all drawn out on my laptop and im ready to print them out to start cutting out the frame of my model. I am a bit stuck, however on what size to print the template out at as regards to scale, i'm thinking of cannons and other finishing touches much later on but i'm worried i'll get the scale wrong now and it will look out of proportion later.
any help on this would be appreciated
