Dave,
sounds like a plan ๐
Photo of the splash of paint its had so far ๐
Right so research has revelled I could ideally do with an electric motor equivalent to a 46 I.C motor
Thinking Brushless and do not mind out runners either, then a decent ESC to handle it all.
Prop needs to be a 2Blade X type 45mm
anyone got an recommendations ?

End points if for servo full movement control to make it more or less, often more to sort out ESCs
Dual Rates is to set up so you can either have full movement or say 50% and my 12FG radio allows each model to have around 12 subsets of D/R per model per channel as well same applies to End points as well
but Dual rates on a boat makes no sense you'd do it all on end points ?

Dave,
tar for the heads up
my radio will never have a need to be modded if I use my 12FG radio it's 12 channel set and has more options than I have dinners in a month! not sure if to use my current radio as its meant for air models not surface so unsure if to use it...

Nice boat, that looks way quick ๐
I do have an issue its set up for a single drive system and I do want to re-do the set up on the drive set up.
Now it looks like if I follow your set up I'd not be far wrong...

Hi,
New to the site and have posted In someone elses thread so thought ah better get my own thread going ๐
Now I have since discovered a few bits about the boat I bought ๐
So I got this 48" Crash Tender off the one and only ebay
it looks like It had an I.C engine In It at some point. So now I want to go electric. I need to work out batterys/motor/Prop solutions
I fly R/C planes so li-po batterys or set up does not worry me and I will probably have batterys I can use In the boat any way ๐
Rudder build will be required as well.
plan Is to splash some paint on It and yes splash, I cannot use spray guns or cans otherwise so It could end up looking a bit rough or just done Its work load ๐ ๐
I have order some clear coat/lacquer to help water proof It as well
Radio gear thinking of this set up:
Flysky FS-GT3B 2.4G 3CH Gun Transmitter Receiver

Dave,
its the 48 inch model, there no drive system prop shaft or anything
happy enough to use li-pos I fly RC planes so li-pos are no stranger to me
have all the balancing kit here and charger.
unfortunately my DiY skills leave a lot to be desired so she will only get a basic tarting up BUT she will sail and will be water proofed!

Hi
I have just picked up one of these off ebay that I'd like to get up and running but it has no running gear.
So what ESC/motor/prop do you guys recommend and thinking 6v power system ?
