Some sort of tugboat /cargo thingy
Well I have yet another old hull in the shed I have decided I will have to do something with.
So Thinking maybe some sort of cargo ship. Or what ever it finally turns out to be...
This time with all the superstructure at the stern..
The hull is an English type So could get away with the hull of a cargo ship anyway.
So started the superstructure again using free plastic .
and this is as Far as I have got to date.

I think there is some sort of servo that does it.
An internet search for rc model boat radar servo may help.

๐ DJI Phantom 2 v2.2 drone

DJI Phantom 2 v2.2.
Anyone fly one of these.
Here are the specs of the one I am looking at.
But seems due to all the bits it has to carry the total flying time is 16 mins ..
Is this long enough for a general flight ?
Any here are the specs
DJI Phantom 2 v2.0
Fully kitted out with Live video feed to the controller, has the excellent Zenmuse H3-3D stabilised gimbal fitted and has the brilliant Gopro hero 3+ black edition included for excellent results.
It has an immersion RC 600mw video transmitter fitted for long range transmission and this is fitted with a Fat shark omni directional higher gain antenna.
The controller has a Flysight black pearl monitor fitted with the latest folding sunshade.
As it has dual 5.8ghz recievers and 32 channels it has twin antenna mounts on top of monitor and there is a fat shark omni directional antenna to match the one on the video transmitter on the drone and also a 5 turn helical directional antenna for solid video at extended distances.
The monitors inbuilt diversity reciever will auto switch between antennas to get the best signal.
This comes with all original boxes and 2 sets of propellers one of which have never been out of the box.
This drone has the heads up display module already fitted to give you live flight data and heading to find back to home if orientation is lost.
As with all Phantoms this drone has auto return to home and land so if connection is lost it will fly back to land at its take off point.
This drone includes all chargers etc so is all you need to get flying and capturing great aerial footage in a single kit.
I have flown this out to 997m during testing and it is faultless in its reliability.
Three flight batteries are included to keep you flying longer.
This is a very capable machine that has done some epic flights.
I am happy to demonstrate it flying etc as it has never been crashed or abused.
So what would you think was a fair price to pay for this drone ????

Like a swamp boat near on flat bottomed raised seat ect.
Model airplanes do not do much for me few and far between are the areas to fly.
But Am looking at some camera drones..Ready to fly.

I was looking at a brushless setup .
Esc motor and the matched prop for a plane at1.5. Kg
The ad said nothing about the prop to motor attachment so I thought it was worth asking.

This is more of a question for airplane modelers .
I have a motor with 6.5mm shaft .
and i would like to mount an airplane prop to it.
What fittings would I need to fit say a 150mm prop..

๐ 3D printing

Missed the point altogether.
What I was saying is I have no idea how to use either the 3 d printer or the software.
So would rely on other people to do everything for ME just so I could print a part.
So far as other items that I would buy Like hull and materials i would buy with no worries so I may just as well buy any other small parts rather than make them myself on a 3d printer.
Even though I would very much like a 3d printer. IF I cant use one no point in having one.

3 d Printing seems to be the way to go for modelers.
But does require some computer skills.
So for anyone that wants a printer they are totally reliant on what they can find to print on some repository websites.
As for resizing items to fit your project well then one again relys on others to resize the stl files.
So even though I would very much like a 3 d printer I do know I will not be able to use one unless all the files are resized and all I do is push a button.
Hi tech has now left me behind whereas a few years ago i was a little ahead of it..

๐ Steaming ply- good idea or not?

But the question is- will the steaming de-laminate the ply
If you have a bit of scrap you can try.
Failing that I suggest wet with a sponge and bend in clamps overnight..
