What battery are you using, Lipo or Nimh? I tried both Gel or Nimh however swapped out for a 550 brushed motor with 12v Lipo. Similar performance but with a lot longer on the water. (Sea Commander)

Well having rubbed down the keel and and found the cracked bit of wood joint dully re glued and now primed up ready for painting sealed the whole of the inside with two coats of Ozycote and painted over, so now all water tight
having repainted the keel to day one coat on when that's dry then on with the motor etc

If ever a name was misled well as we say in this parts,Tis like this, all was well till we was in the water then we had water in from the prop tube and up forward thank goodness its a wooden boat
Meanwhile back in the workshop the prop tube was an easy fix the forward leak isn't that easy to get at so going to try coating fibre glass and see if that fixes the issue don't really want to repaint again do not understand it as everything was well stuck down my suspicion is the keel that a laminate construction am going to oz coat the whole inside of the boat

I had an similar issue with my Sea Commander after I restored it. Water was seeping through the keel until I found a rotten piece of timber. Fibreglass resin to the rescue and no further leaks.
