Hello, At the time of this construction was looking for a model Of a Dunkirk Little Ship, this plan came to light. At 40" was just the job for one of our bigger pools. Choice of build was a Muddy standard, with 6 mm Ply Keel and Bulkheads, and Obeche planks, 6 x 3 mm.
As a change in construction decided to make patterns or templates of the bulkheads, allowing for the thickness of the planks some cardboard was found and they were cut-out, then all i had to do was draw around them onto the ply, very good very easy. Soon apparent that the construction would be heavy, so undertook a lightening procedure by removing some of the bulkhead material.
Once all was cut out a dry fit or pre assembly took place, and some guesstimating of fitting the propulsion units, in this case a pair of Decaperms.
