    Coming along nicely Bill.
Is that material easy to fill and rub down ?

Hi Martin, lets say it's not as easy as sanding wood, I wont be doing it again but I am to far in to stop now, just did it to see if it could be done.
Much prefer wood but will still print small detail parts for next build.

    Hi Bill,
"Have sealed the hull with two coat's Z-Poxy "
Why does a plastic hull need sealing?
    Yours puzzled, Doug ๐Ÿ˜Ž

    Hi Martin,
"What filler will you be using Bill.?"
Surely, given a half decent printer (resolution) and the right filament material (maybe also a bottle of acetone or dichloromethane๐Ÿ˜) it shouldn't need any filling at all!?
At worst perhaps a little Plastic Putty to touch up the seams between the five hull parts?
    Cheers, Doug ๐Ÿ˜Ž

    Hi Fleet,
I am beginning to wish i had a 3D printer.
And i am surprised at the things that other people have printed.

    Hi Vice (๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜),
"I am beginning to wish i had a 3D printer."
I have a 3d'er for three years now.
Haven't even calibrated the damn thing yet ๐Ÿ˜”
A million excuses; no space, no time, no specific project for it ...... NO GUTS!!
Now seriously (๐Ÿ™„) considering printing superstructure for the Springer though.
Bollards and cleats might also be useful.
Can't be bothered to mess with CAD designing for the parts though so I'll see what's available as files on the 3D forums.
Scaling existing parts is fairly easy, the learning curve for designing from scratch is longer and steeperโ˜น๏ธ
    Cheers, Doug ๐Ÿ˜Ž

    Hi Fleet,
I keep hearing that Thingiverse is a great place for free files.

    Agreed Vice,
That's one of the main, and oldest of the 3D forums/exchanges I mentioned.
They also have links to guys who will print stuff for you; e.g. Shapeways or private guys with a little 'sideline'.
    Cheers, Fleet ๐Ÿ˜

Those prints look very clean. Did you have to do much finishing to the parts?๐Ÿ˜Š
