Hi Red,
I have a few ideas rattling around this empty head of mine but making the Air Boat is not one of them.
But i must Finnish 'MOJO' first.
I am unable to get in my little workshop at the moment due to a few annoying issues but hopefully soon.

I have a number of spare 42 sized out-runners and a big 1400W 600kv 60/50 which really needs a big 6s/7s 60c + to run well (tried it with a 5s 20c 3oooMaH in my 65" plane, but it was not spinning fast enough and barely flew.) Truckloads of torque, but no revs. Needed a 14" prop at least, or a big 3 blade 12x12 or similar. Takes up to 32v)
Most big pusher props (over 12") seem to be wooden 3 bladers and pretty expensive. Mainly for gas motors. Lots of smaller 3 blade tractor props (L and R) available.- Banggood etc. Probably cheaper to use a brush cutter type motor with a centrifugal clutch (and a lot simpler and a much longer run time. Pusher or tractor, doesn't really matter, (tractor's better for cooling)

Don't forget the twin rudders JB ...............What size motor & prop ? - like to know where you can get a large 4 blade pusher prop............ Unless I nick one from our fan..............Might be noticed as summers coming up - what about a car fan motor (with the fan)
Using one for fishing around here could be problematic - lots of Great Whites and whats locally called Bronze Whalers - being one of the centres of the shark & whale viewing industries. Pity as I have two boards bought for the grandchildren who never can visit much........
Thanks for the link Martin - looking forward to seeing you build one - even a miniature for the Big Blue.......

Quite a nice little airboat Martin, cool design! Was thinking of making a big one earlier this year, using a cheap body board, with a ply mounting plate glued on top for the body and equipment. Thought of using it for fishing. One shown is EVA foam and 33"

Super link to this semi scale air rescue boat. Simple build and good video showing construction details. Plenty of time to build for a Christmas present for this year. I think I might cover the base with thin ply as too many sharp objects in my lake that could puncture the material used.

Hi Guys,
Here is a nice little Air Boat that could be made using scrap material.
