Use Tamiya white putty on RC boat abs/styrene hull

I've been using to Tamiya gray putty (I think it's the same chemical composition as white) for many years on my boats. I have not had any problems. This putty seems to adhere to just about everything, especially when my fingers.

The only thing I don't like about the Tamiya putty is that his it has a high shrinkage factor. So, when applying you need to use multiple layers with the final layer being a slight convex shape so it can be sanded down flush.

It can be ok on boats but still needs a coat of paint on it. I’ve used the putty you patch walls with. It’s the one that is pink and drys tan. It sands well but I coat with paint or even CA glue. It’s not waterproof but decent coating it can last. There is always the Bondo filler that is in a squeeze tube too.

Use Tamiya white putty on RC boat abs/styrene hull

A good day
I always use 2 component epoxy
But a friend of mine is using the sprayable filler from MOTIP
Which you can buy in car shops

Use Tamiya white putty on RC boat abs/styrene hull

Can I use Tamiya white putty to level out some small pits in a abs styrene hull on a rc boat model kit?

Is it going to be effected by the water? Of course I will be priming and painting/sealing over any areas.

I could use a two part epoxy putty but it is a pain to sand down for just some small imperfections.

Thanks
