I suggest you give us the specifications of the parts you require such as type of material (plastic/metal etc) scale or size in mm plus a drawing or pic of the actual type of fitting. If lights etc are they to be working?
Modelling covers a vast range of subjects and without knowing exactly what you want it is difficult to give the advice you require.
I have built many models over the years, some just for fun and others to represent an actual vessel. Unless you are committed to true scale replicas to be entered into a judging competition the finer detail is, in my opinion Ok providing the model performs and looks correct when sailing.

Thanks for the recommendations. I have been looking at the fittings on Cornwall Model Boats as I have purchased items from them before. Unfortunately, they don't reply to my emails concerning questions I have about some of their fittings. I have had this problem before so I have decided to move on and find another supplier. I will have a look at your other recommendation Mustang Mark.
